Episode 265 Ed Byers is a First Class Father and Retired Navy SEAL who received the military’s highest award, The Medal Of Honor, for his heroic actions during a dangerous mission to save an American doctor being held hostage in Afghanistan. Ed has served our country for more than twenty years mostly as a Navy SEAL and even spent time with the elite Naval Special Warfare Development Group or DEVGRU. Some of Ed’s other awards and decorations include two Purple Hearts and five Bronze Stars with Valor. In this Episode, Ed shares his Fatherhood journey, he raves about his very talented young daughter, he talks about some of the challenges of being a father while serving with the Teams, he describes the emotions of having his family present while receiving the Medal Of Honor, he tells us his plans for the future, he delivers some great advice for new or about to be Dads and more!
