Today I’m joined by DJ Envy for an interview on First Class Fatherhood. DJ Envy discusses his new book Real Life Real Love. DJ Envy is a First Class Father, disc jockey, record producer, radio personality, and car enthusiast. He is one of the three hosts of the syndicated radio show The Breakfast Club, alongside Angela Yee and Charlamagne tha God on Power 105.1. DJ Envy, and his wife Gia Casey have been together for 27 years and married for 20. They host The Casey Crew, a podcast exploring the good, bad, and ugly sides of relationships and family life. It has been ranked by Essence as one of the best podcasts about Black love and family. They co-authored a new book, “Real Life, Real Love: Life Lessons on Joy, Pain & the Magic That Holds Us Together” which is available now. In this Episode, DJ Envy shares his Fatherhood journey which includes six children. He discusses some of the ups and downs of his marriage and why he and his wife Gia decided to write their book “Real Life, Real Love: Life Lessons on Joy, Pain & the Magic That Holds Us Together”. He describes the values he hopes to instill in all of his children. He talks about the Fatherless Crisis and the need for more dads to be involved in their kids' lives.
