Episode 656 - Derrick Hayes is a First Class Father and entrepreneur who founded Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks. Dave started with a small restaurant in a gas station in Dunwoody, Georgia, has since blossomed to a thriving location in downtown Atlanta as well as other locations including Mercedes Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons. Derrick dedicated his business to his father, who passed away from lung cancer in 2009, after promising him that he would start a small business. Derrick comes from humble beginnings in Philadelphia and is now a successful entrepreneur who is just getting started.
In this Episode, Derrick shares his Fatherhood journey which includes four children. He discusses the importance of creating generational wealth for his family. He describes his philosophy which has skyrocketed his career as an entrepreneur and how he is intentional about teaching his kids financial literacy.
